Nick's Haiti trip

Nick went to Haiti, February & March this year, and here are just a couple pictures that I picked to post.  He loved his time there and would love to go back and help again.  He went with the Jenkins/Penn organization and got to see SOOO much, got to use his medical skills, and also spend some time with some of the friends there.

Boy, I have been horrible in keeping this blog up!  We hope all of you are having a wonderful winter.....we have until the last day or so...now it is to rain for a while!  Oh well, it keeps the grass green!

Brand New Baby Chase!

Lot's of exciting things have happened since my last post! I know I am wayyyyy behind, and thank you to a couple that have asked me to get on the stick and update!!

Chase Richard was born on November 7.

This is my Brother's first baby. After MANY long hours at the hospital he finally arrived as cute as a bugs ear, and is SUCH a happy little boy. Mommy is slowly recovering, and we are proud of her....she is a great Mommy!

Jill, Abi and I took Chandra out on her first shopping trip 3 weeks after many complications and lots of painful days! I am glad she is recovering....I don't think very many stores would have allowed us back in! We laughed so hard, and ran over so many things!

He was talking up a storm here. He was about 1 1/2 weeks old here. I was lucky enough to get to spend quite a few days with him while mommy recovered. He is the best baby an Auntie could ask for, and of course not spoiled in the least!

Hawaii Vacation!

Headed out to my favorite vacation spot with my Mom the first week and then Nick came the second week! It was awesome weather, and the best relaxing I have had in forever!

Mom and I when we were dropped off at the airport! We look like well seasoned travelers, right?!? We took a tour of a native families gardens. They were amazing! Here is tree that I think was called an Australian Fig Tree! The roots were all above ground.

Nick headed out surfing. I actually went out with him this year and had fun till I crashed! My dad got out and tried it too...he rode in a few waves! I think I was more entertainment for those on the beach!!

This is where I was most of the 2 weeks I was there! When it got too hot, I just put my chair closer to the water and let the waves come in! It was great! This picture was taken up at Ke'e beach on the north shore of Kauai.

This momma hen brought her chicks by our place everyday. We got to see them grow in the 2 weeks, it is amazing how fast they grow! The babies kept jumping on the momma's back for rides. I guess they get tired of scratching for food all day!!

Here I am with my friend. We meet up every year I go. His puppy is so cute!

Here is the sunrise out our window! I have tons of pictures of this. Every morning I would think it was prettier than the day before....I will only put one on the blog so I don't bore you too badly!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Nick, for the new camera! I love it!

My first picture with the new camera! Yay I went garage saleing with Amy a couple weeks ago and found perfect matching night stands for my log bed. So, had to show how good they look! That was my best buy of the day!
