Late Memorial Day Picture's

Me & Jake! Nick's turn with Jake...no fair, he got to feed him! Auntie Marj with Jake....the name tag say's Hi, my name is Poopy!!! Mom & Dad's place from the lake side. It looked so nice for the weekend festivities!

What we have been up to!

The days have been flying by. This is the busiest time of the year for our family. Talon's ball games and practices keep him worn out, and us worn out getting him there! We had a great Memorial weekend. Uncle Hugh came and stayed with us, and then the rest of my dad's family came and stayed at the lake. We had lots of laughs, and games and chats around the camp fire. The weather was perfect, not too hot, and not too cold! My cousin came with her new baby, so I was in heaven getting my time in for holding little Jake!! He was a big hit for the weekend!! Abi has been working all year on a HUGE country report. She chose to do hers on the Phillipines and the presentation was on Wednesday night for the parents. She did a great job! She even cooked some good looking dessert. It was a tad odd tasting, but very attractive to look at!! We decided that it would take some time to aquire the taste for some of the food. She received a great grade, and is very relieved to have it done! Tonight, Abi graduates from TEAM. It is a program that all 6th graders must participate in....kind of like DARE, if you know what that is. Anyway, we all get to go and watch the ceremonies, and they go skating afterwards. She is very excited! Monday, Nick and Abi head out to 6th grade camp Orkila for 3 days! They are both looking forward to it, and Talon and I are looking forward to a quiet house, and eating what we want!! In the mean time, I am trying to get some work done in the yard. I need to get the mulch put on the flower beds before summer is over! I think I will run and get it this Friday when Nick is home to help me! Maybe he will shovel, and I can spread it! We are looking forward to summer vacation! Sleeping in, soaking up the sun, and lot's of boating, family, and fun! Have a great week!

Final Band Concert

Talon had his last band concert. They sounded awesome and they got to play with the
rest of the district. We were amazed and thoroughly impressed!

Where does the time go?

Okay, I have needed to update this page for a couple weeks now. We finished April pretty wet, and now our May is wonderful! Last week we celebrated our 14th anniversary! I can't believe that it has been that long! My husband did a good job in surprising me. He took me to a wonderful dinner and Hotel for the night! We enjoyed the break in the week, and the quiet time together! We have been doing yard work like crazy. The lawn needs mowed about every 3 days now and that keeps us all busy. I planted my annuals, and got the hanging baskets done and hanging! It finally looks like spring! Yesterday it was in the 70's for the first time and we got the boat out! Abi went for the first ski of the season! She did great, and of course I forgot my camera. We all decided that she looked better than the end of last skiing season, and she looked great then!! Nick also went and did good. I think his knees were a tad sore, and arms might be tired, today? I don't ask alot of those questions as it reminds us both of our age!! Talon didn't get to go, as he had a baseball game that he didn't want to be worn out for. With his broken arm that is trying to heal, and now a broken finger, he is careful that he doesn't do anything that might hinder him from playing ball! We enjoyed the new boat, and I got to drive it for the first time. Wow! What a difference! It is makes me want to go out every night! We celebrated Nick's birthday with a big dinner and cake! I think he got what he wanted....he must have been good this year! So, the busy lives continue around here. Baseball takes up 2-3 nights a week, and the rest is taken up with cleaning and having fun! Hope this finds you all well, and come visit!

Birthday time!

We have a new visitor this year. He stayed and ate for about 5 minutes,
and then brought back his wife!! Nick's birthday cake! Can you count the candles? Neither could we..hee, hee! Nick opening his presents! Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you....... He turned 34!!!
