Hawaii Trip

I had a wonderful trip to Kauaii, HI! I went with my Mom, brother, Hugh, and his girlfriend, Chandra.
It was the best weather out of all the times that I have been there. It rained 2 times and it was in the night. Couldn't have been any better!
We got a ton of sun, water, and Diet Coke!
I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere almost too much, I was dragging by evening!
All in all, I am anxiously waiting for our 15th anniversary in May, so Nick and I can come again!!
Me, Mom, Chandra & Hugh ready to head to a Hula show Almost a full moon, it was gorgeous! The picture doesn't do it justice! Mom, Chandra, & Hugh checking the beach and water out in front of our condo.

Good day/Bad day!

Nick came home from work today and as usual I asked him how his day was. As he was taking off his shoes, he answered my question by saying that it was wonderful except for one problem that bugged him all day. Then, he asked if I could guess what it was, and stood there with a silly grin........check out this picture and see if you know what it was!
His toe went through his sock the first 10 minutes after getting to work!! He absolutely HATES holes in socks! I laughed so hard, and maybe it was just my funny bone that it caught, but I had to take a picture of it! Maybe it is time for new socks!

August Days!

August days are speeding past, and summer vacation is coming to a screeching halt.
So, the kids are taking full advantage of every second they have left to sleep in,
and play.......
Here is Abi playing hangman, it must be a very difficult word by the deep thought she is in! Kitty decided to take up a new post on the coffee table quilt. I just put the table out and decorated it and kitty thought it was done all for him. The table was originally our rolling island from in the kitchen. It was an antique that I just had to have and added rollers, etc to make it an island....well, after 1 year I decided that I wanted a change and needed a coffee table that was big for our big room.....so, we cut off the legs and TA-DA....new coffee table and we love it. Yes, I kept the legs so that we can re attach them if I change my mind again! Here is a little stone puppy just like our "Zeke" that someone special couldn't resist getting us! He looks so adorable peeking around the watering can! Thank you so much! The sunny weather has made our plants grow wonderfully...now if the nice weather would just stick around for a little longer so that we can continue enjoying the plants.
This year has not been the greatest year for my plants....maybe it was me, but I think it was the crummy weather the majority of the summer.

Nick and the kids headed to Bozeman, MT this last weekend to catch a Ross family reunion.
It is amazing how much everyone changes as they grow up!
All of the Jim and Dorothy Ross grandkids made it, recognize any of them?
Jeremy, is that really you? How about Jason, you grew up! Nick is still the cute one, though! Another cousin picture in a different location! Okay Uncle Rocky, we are getting tired down here! Did you take the lens cap off? Yep, that was the first thing you did, but it looks like you forgot already!
Unfortunantly I wasn't able to make it. I had an event that I was decorating for that was booked previously. I've started decorating/serving for a bed and breakfast that has started hosting events at their beautiful home overlooking the valley here. I've done a few weddings, and then this last Saturday was a company picnic that we served 265 people lunch, along with many events that needed organized. I was asked to do face painting. That was an experience that I have never had before...but it was fun, and I really enjoyed it. There were a ton of kids and all different size cheeks to paint! It was so different than a wedding, but a good change for decorating, and a tad more relaxed.
Just tonight we were invited out to the same place for a potluck and we got to play! It was wonderful fun, and so relaxing. It was nice to get our minds all cleared as we get ready for the wonderful days of convention that lay ahead this week.
I am looking forward to my Hawaii vacation in 2 weeks! I am trying to make mental lists of what I need to pack! Nick and the kids are going on a camping/hiking trip while I am gone. I know that at least Talon and Nick are looking forward to it! Abi?, well, let's just say probably anything that we suggested wouldn't be quite right anyway! You know how 12 year olds are!
