Talon's Deer!

Talon went bow hunting for the first time......After a couple weeks of not seeing a deer or being in the wrong spot at the right time he finally got a perfect shot!

He is so excited to get the first animal this year, and with his bow to boot!

He informed us that he had now been successful in getting every species of deer and is ready to move onto something bigger!! Much to his father's delight, of course!

Camera-less

Nick has left me with out a camera this week. He thinks hunting is much more picture worthy, I guess. So, blogging with no pictures in pretty boring. The kids and I are enjoying the freedom of eating when we want and what we want without Dad around. I guess it must mean that he keeps us regular! Today I spent my day with my friends. I had them come over for the whole day and celebrate the kids back in school. We worked on projects that we hadn't had time to finish, and gabbed, and gabbed and gabbed. It was wonderful to catch up on everyone's summer fun, and relax and enjoy the fellowship! I hope that everyone is having a great start to the school year, I surely am!

Joys of a second child!

I have to tell on Abi. She is trying to get used to new routine of Junior High, and all the stresses of remembering your classes, etc. So, today when she got home I asked her about some of her classes and when I mentioned Language Arts, she gets this puzzles look on her face and says, "I have Art? I don't remember that class." Only Abi could say that!!!
