It's a new post!!

We took a day trip through the San Juan Island's while Nick's parents were out visiting. The day was beautiful....the only nice one all week! The sun shone all day but it never got above freezing! The ferry ride was very enjoyable!
Mount Baker in the background Hmmm....wonder what kind of bird this is!

What is happening at our house!

I highly recommend that if you don't have a 14 and 15 year old you find one quickly! I have been burned out on cooking (I am sure it doesn't have anything to do with the holiday's just getting over with) and decided on a new plan.......I cook dinner on Monday and Wednesday nights, and Abi cooks the complete dinner on Tuesday and Talon on Thursday....then we eat all the left overs on Friday! It has been absolutely awesome! Abi made these wonderful bean and rice burritos that were smothered in a red sauce (her own special recipe) and I didn't get a picture of it, too bad.
This was Talon's meal of home made chicken noodle soup with home made biscuits! It was wonderful....thanks kids! Now, see why you need teenagers?!? I keep reminding the kids that they are going to have to learn to cook sooner or later, so it might as well be sooner! Plus, this day and age, Talon just might not get married to a lady who likes to cook!
With all the flooding lately here is what it looks like at my parents just a few miles away on Biglake! The water has risen about 8 feet in a matter of 12 hours. This picture is taken about 25 feet up from normal shore and I am standing on the water edge here. There is a small pond and the fire pit area is all underwater here.
Here you can see the dock.....Just a little more water than usual!
The dogs couldn't figure out why they couldn't get to the dock and maggie even went out to swim to it! All the logs that you can see are normally placed on the waters edge and for sitting in at the fire....there are a few more added and really not placed well at all!!

Catching up on December!

Decided before I get to far into January, I would get December finished up!
We had a great holiday with the family!
Maggie and Zeke dressed as Mrs. and Mr. Claus!
Notice Maggies hair piece, it was halarious!
Christmas day and snowing! That is a weird combo for us! Ababi, Michael, Abi, Evan and Talon! The Boys in their new PJ's in a can!
The kids and their stockings on Christmas day! Zeke had to be in there also. He see's that camera's come out and he sits for the picture!
Hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday with their families and friends! There were many more pictures taken at our house, but wouldn't want to bore you all!
